What WAV streaming means
WAV is the uncompressed PCM format studios work in. Most streaming services never send it to you: Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal and Qobuz convert their libraries to AAC, Ogg, ALAC or FLAC before delivery. Artyfile Stream sends the WAV master itself — at 44.1 kHz / 24-bit that is about 2.1 Mbit/s, roughly 16 MB per minute.
Is WAV better than FLAC? Honestly, no: a FLAC file decodes to exactly the same samples as the WAV it was made from. What matters is the source. At Artyfile you hear the master of a recording Artyfile produced itself, delivered bit for bit — not a distributor copy prepared for a library of 100 million tracks.

More than 850 studio recordings made by Artyfile: cinematic scores, classical works played by the Artyfile Orchestra and — for selected titles — the London Symphony Orchestra at Abbey Road, pop in new arrangements, jazz, rock, electronic and alpine folk music. Every track is performed and produced by people; there is no AI-generated music in the catalogue.
Where and how you listen
Subscribers play WAV directly in the browser on stream.artyfile.com and in the Artyfile app for iPhone, iPad and Android — one account on every device. The apps add background playback, lock-screen controls and up to five reserved streams per device for 24 hours when your connection drops.
A WAV stream needs a stable connection: on mobile data, budget roughly 50–60 MB for a four-minute track. On Wi-Fi and at home it simply plays.
What it costs — and who gets paid
Plans start at €9.90 a month for 100 streams (Medium: 250 streams for €14.90, Standard: 500 streams for €19.90). A play counts after 15 seconds. Artists receive at least €0.03 and up to €0.20 per stream — about ten to sixty times what Spotify pays.
