How it works
You subscribe at stream.artyfile.com, then listen to uncompressed WAV in the browser player or in the Artyfile Stream app for iOS and Android — one account on every device. Here is the four-minute version of how it works.
On the Pricing page, pick Small (€9,90 / 100 streams), Medium (€14,90 / 250 streams) or Standard (€19,90 / 500 streams). Stripe Checkout takes you through payment in your familiar local payment methods (SEPA, credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay). The transaction is one-click cancellable from your Stripe receipt or our /account page.
Within seconds you receive an email at the address you used in checkout. It contains your initial password (a random four-character string — change it on first login), your active stream count, and direct links to the iOS and Android app stores.
Set your real password, edit your name if you like, confirm your active subscription. This account also lets you manage billing through Stripe’s customer portal — change card, switch tier, or cancel at end-of-period.
Press play right here on stream.artyfile.com, or download the Artyfile Stream app for iOS and Android and sign in with the same email and password. The app adds background playback with the screen off, lock-screen controls and up to five reserved streams per device for 24 hours when your connection drops. Optional: switch on My Music in your account and upload your own CD rips and recordings; they play in the same player without using your streams.
When you press play, the player fetches a short-lived signed link and the WAV file streams directly from Artyfile’s media server at 44.1 kHz / 24-bit — no transcoding. Your account works on the web, iPhone, iPad and Android at the same time. A play counts against your monthly quota after 15 seconds of continuous playback; skipping earlier costs nothing.
Standard subscribers get 500 streams a month — about 16 a day. If you hit the cap mid-month, top up with 100 additional streams for €4,99 from the app or /account page. Top-ups roll forward only until your subscription renews; no perpetual stockpile.
Spotify pays artists ~€0.003 per stream. Artyfile guarantees ≥€0.03 minimum and pays up to €0.20 per stream depending on your usage pattern. The math is in the brand pillar: a Standard subscriber listening 60 streams in a month sends €0.20 to the artist per stream. Even a heavy listener who uses all 500 streams still sends at least the guaranteed €0.03 per stream — 10× the Spotify rate.
Artyfile Stream is a Hi-Fi music streaming service that delivers uncompressed 44.1 kHz / 24-bit WAV audio of Artyfile’s own studio recordings — classical, cinematic, pop, jazz, rock and alpine folk music played by professional musicians, including the London Symphony Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios. It costs from €9.90 a month, runs in the browser and in iOS and Android apps, and pays artists up to €0.20 per stream, more than 60× the typical Spotify rate.
Three differences. First: Artyfile streams uncompressed WAV masters of its own label recordings; Spotify Premium streams FLAC up to 24-bit/44.1 kHz from a catalogue of more than 100 million tracks. Second: Artyfile guarantees rights holders at least €0.03 per counted stream and pays up to €0.20; Spotify pays by streamshare with no fixed rate (third-party estimates about US$0.003–0.005). Third: Artyfile has monthly stream allowances (100 / 250 / 500 by tier) so the payout stays sustainable; Spotify is unlimited.
Both. Subscribers can play every track in uncompressed WAV directly in the browser player at stream.artyfile.com. The iOS and Android apps use the same account and add background playback with the screen off, lock-screen controls, listening history, personal collections and short offline reservations for patchy connections.
